Brief storming of the most important points:
1- I will inform you when I am visiting Syria the next time, in order to organize a public lecture of mental retardation and genetics.
2- Every person or family who asks a question regarding genetics can be advised by me at my next visit, if he/she wishes. Thus, establishing a list of interested persons with telephone numbers would ease calling them and offering genetic counseling later, even if my next visit is in a couple of months.
3- Families proper for the study are interesting, but I would be pleased to discuss genetic matters of everybody.
4- Attached are the following documents:
a) Headlines of the families interesting for the study, contact details and a clear offer for counselling in genetic matters (in the next mails, since this fits for only  three documents).
b) Agreement on participating in the research which must be signed by each person (for children by their parents) who is going to participate.
c) A paper including information about the study.
d) A questionnaire to document all symptoms of affected persons.
For points b, c, and d, the workers in Assalamyah may do this themselves, or leave it till I do this when I come.
