Surprise visit to the Special Olympic-Latakia

A surprise visit by H.E President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Bashar al-Assad and his wife, Mrs. Asmaa  Al-Assad to the training camp in Syrian Special Olympics.

The training camp was be held at Sports City in the governorate of Latakia, in preparation for the Special Olympics in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) which will be took place in Damascus, Syria from 25 September to 3 October 2010.

H.E the President  and Mrs. Asmaa participating the players with disabilities in this camp in some games such as:  (Handball, basketball, volleyball etc..).

Development abilities of Persons with Disabilities through sport.

Mr. Mohammed Ghazi form Syrian Telecenters project in Syrian Computer Society  volunteered to train team of handball in Special Olympic , he was a former team leader of handball in Syria, and now, he is working in staff of ICT4 Development in rural areas,   and It is noteworthy that Studies Centre for Handicapped Research (SCHR) also participating through some players in handball in preparation for the Special Olympics in (MENA) region.
